Training and Development Manager

We are currently looking for a Training and Development Manager to join our growing Sales team. The goal of this role is to develop, implement, and deliver high-impact training programs that empower our sales team to provide exceptional customer experiences, stay informed on product knowledge, and achieve performance excellence across all multi-state locations.
The Training and Development Manager is a specialized, non-supervisory hybrid role responsible for the strategic management, design, and hands-on execution of all training programs for the Sales Department. This position operates remotely but requires frequent travel (up to 50%) to multiple state locations for onsite new hire training, ongoing coaching, and collaboration with sales leadership to address performance gaps.
This individual contributor will design engaging learning content, manage third-party training vendors, and ensure all programs align with company goals and compliance requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver sales, leadership, customer service, and operational training programs.
Facilitate classroom and virtual learning sessions, workshops, and team meetings.
Partner with Sales Leadership to identify training needs and address performance gaps.
Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the sales team.
Manage relationships with third-party training providers.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws, as well as company policies.
Participate in interviews and assist in the hiring process for sales roles.
Maintain an organized and professional training environment.
Attend monthly management meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
Uphold all HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience in training, learning and development, or sales enablement preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports and deliver presentations effectively.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Able to perform calculations using U.S. units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
Capable of addressing problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Able to plan and coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Smartsheet.
Familiarity with Leaf Logix, METRC, Dutchie, BioTrack, Canva, and AI voice generators is a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
Work Environment
Hybrid role: remote work with required travel (up to 50%) to multi-state locations.
Must be able to lift and transport training materials as needed.
Flexibility to travel frequently for onsite training sessions and meetings.
